Blue Monday

Back in the Netherlands after a nice long weekend in the romantic city of Paris real life hits us in the face quickly. Early wake up calls, dishes to be cleaned, appointments to be made, clothes to be ironed and lots of hassles with the house.

January is usually a month of calm after all the parties and celebration in December. However my January is definitely not calm with all the preparations for the house, a weekend away, a black tie party and nights at 5 star hotels! January definitely has more highs that beat the lows.

So as blue Monday, considered as the most depressing day of the year, went unnoticed in my life,  I'm looking forward to the weekend that looms ahead. I'm ready to wear a new black dress and be accompanied by a man in a suit.
