A Royal weekend ahead

Today Prince William and Kate Middleton will be getting married. There has been a lot, possibly too much media about this wedding but somehow I still am going to record the broadcast of the wedding to watch later on. While watching it I will prepare a mug of tea (with milk obviously) and some scones.

On more local news but still quite royal tonight we're celebrating Queen's night and tomorrow Queen's day in the Netherlands. I already have prepared my orange gear (every reason is a good excuse to go clothes shopping) and am now waiting for the weekend to officially start.

The year of the Rabbit has started

Happy Chinese New Year! 

The tiger year (2010) has just given way for the year of the rabbit (2011). The Chinese use the Chinese Zodiac that relates each year to an animal and it's attributes. This zodiac has a lot of similarities to the Western zodiac with some major difference whereas the western zodiac has labels for each month of the year; the Chinese zodiac has a 12 part cycle divided into years.

This evening I will be going to a Chinese restaurant to celebrate this day with an Asian friend of mine. Bring along the chopsticks and the large quantities of food!!

Out with the old and in with the new

 This week I'm enjoying my family who are over for the festive period. I'm also taking this week as time off the computer, although somehow I'm still managing to follow everything via my phone!
