Valentine's Day
Valentine's day is a day that many loathe. I did for many single years and still don't particularly love the fact that it is such a commercial holiday. One should give love all throughout the year. Men should treat girls with flowers without reason for an occasion.
Having said this we still enjoyed this day, in a back to basics way. Yesterday we had a little indoor picnic amidst Ikea boxes that still need to be unpacked. It was a lovely and different. An evening that includes chocolate fondue will always be in my good books.
Valentine's also marked the day that we finally solved the beeping mystery. After completely killing off the alarm and changing a lot of sensor batteries we discovered that the culprit of the noise was the dishwasher! At the end of the cycle the dishwasher beeps for a long time to indicate it's done. Unluckily we were setting it on just before going to bed each night!
